Euvonne Medley

WORLEY-LUGINBUEL FUNERAL HOME - JAY, OKLAHOMA - 918-253-3222.   Euvonne May Masters Medley was born December 17, 1931 in Delaware County, Oklahoma, near Piney; and passed from this life on April 28, 2019, at home in Jay, Oklahoma.
As a young girl, Euvonne lived in Detroit, MI during WWII, then moved with her family to back to Delaware County, Oklahoma, where she lived most of her life. Euvonne was a Jay High School graduate.
Euvonne is survived by her husband, Richard W. Medley, whom she married on October 14, 1977; three children: Kenneth Millspaugh (Dottie) of Garden Grove, CA; Phyllis Millspaugh Howard of Rogers, AR; Twilla (Doug) Millspaugh Samples of Lodi, CA, and three step-children, Charla Medley of Siloam Springs, AR, Rebecca (Lloyd) Hankins of Greenland, AR, Wayne Medley (Cindy) of Prairie Grove, AR. She is also survived by a brother, Ray Masters, of Jay, OK; and a sister, Reta Jeffries of Oklahoma City, OK. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and a host of other friends and family who loved her.
Euvonne is preceded in death by her parents, Fay D. (April 28, 1982) and Rose Edna Masters (June 17, 2001), a granddaughter, Leslie Michelle Howard (November 14, 1983), a son-in-law, Stephen B. Howard (June 22, 2006), and a sister-in-law, Mavis Masters (October 18, 2011).
She was a Christian who loved her Lord and was secure in her salvation. Euvonne, and husband, Dick, attended a home Bible study group, frequently hosted in their home, and shared services on Sundays with a group at Honey Creek Retirement Village, Grove, Oklahoma. Euvonne enjoyed the monthly singings that she and Dick frequently attended.
Euvonne loved her family and friends and enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time together. She had the heart of a servant; always doing for others, by either sending homemade cards, sharing a hand crafted item, preparing and sharing a meal, or just visiting those who needed it.
Visitation will be at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK, on Thursday, May 2, 2019, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, May 3, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Jay, OK.
