Interment will follow at the Green Family Cemetery on the south side of Martin Cemetery in the Childers area. Family will be receiving friends Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Benjamin Funeral Service. Eva Jane (Hicks) Green passed away October 11, 2016 at St. John Hospital in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born January 9, 1934 in Childers, Oklahoma to Harrison and Eva Jane (Adamson) Hicks. Eva attended Childers Schools and on December 26, 1950 she married the love of her life Lawrence Green, in Nowata. On January 12, 1976 Eva and Lawrence accepted Christ as their Savior. She has lived her life since serving both the Lord and her family. She loved caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. After her children were grown she took care of her other family members when they were sick and needed help. She enjoyed bowling and was a pretty good bowler. She especially liked playing games with her brothers and grandchildren, especially Yahtzee. Eva was a very loving down home girl. She will be missed by all who knew her. Eva is survived by her husband Lawrence of the home; two children, Julie Ann and her husband Junior Pack and Larry Dale Green; six siblings, Paul Hicks of Nowata, Vernon Hicks of Nowata, Ancil Hicks of Coffeyville, Kansas, Lue Hicks of Nowata, Lorraine Corle of Chelsea, Nonie Collier of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Shannon Green, Wendy Hill, Justin Pack, and ten great-grandchildren. Eva is preceded in death by her parents Harrison and Eva Hicks and nine siblings, Delbert Hicks, Howard Hicks, Walter Hicks, Jim Ed Hicks, Nelsene Hicks, Evelyn Hughes, Jewell Lothery, Allene Hughes, Barbara Ann Bray.
