Evelyn Bible

Evelyn Yvonne “Vonnie” Bible, 72 of Disney, went home to her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2021.  Vonnie was born in Winfield, KS on September 11, 1948 to Clifford and Evelyn (Meeks) Burdick.

Vonnie was full of life and ambition.  She lived life to the fullest and there was not much she couldn’t accomplish.  She loved cooking, fishing, and sewing.  Her greatest passion, however, was serving others.  She spent much of her adult life working in the mission’s field, helping anyone in need.  Vonnie served as the director of the Bethesda Free Clinic in Langley, OK for several years.  Her kind heart, contagious smile, and loving hugs touched many lives throughout the years.
Those left to continue on her legacy include her husband Jim Bible of the home, son Clifton Speer and wife DeeDee of Beggs, grandchildren Shayd, Joely, and Dagan, sisters Sharian Shelton and Janet Tinch, and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Melissa “Missy” Speer.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Langley First Baptist Church with Pastor Davies Vanpool officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Ft.
