Fern Mcgaugh

Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, Oklahoma, 918-256-5555 Fern LaVaughn (Campbell) McGaugh, 85 of Grove, OK., passed Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Grove Nursing Center. Fern was born Tuesday, December 20, 1932 in Big Cabin, OK., to Everett and Ruth Ann (Surine) Campbell. She grew up on the family farm there and graduated from Big Cabin, OK. She married Fay Albert McGaugh on Saturday, September 15, 1951. There were two sons born to this union: Michael Edward (Mike) McGaugh born March 16, 1954 and Kenneth Val (Butch) McGaugh born May 8, 1955. Music was very much a part of Fern's life and she loved playing the piano. As a teenager she spent a lot of time with friends and family members playing music. She and a few others played music at a radio station in Pryor, OK. Fern worked as a bookkeeper for different companies and also at one time owned a trucking company. She lived many different places and attended church in those areas. Survivors include one sister: Clara (Chris) Takacs and husband Jim of Grove. Two brothers: Kenneth (Bud) Campbell and wife Ruth of Big Cabin, Clarence (Cotton) and wife Jackie Campbell of Sequoyah, nieces: Trish Collins and husband Rick of Grove, Stephanie Huchison and husband Jamie of Catoosa, Sheli Reed and husband Tom of Choctaw, Sherry Ramseyer of Vinita, Linda Tarr and husband Chuck of Tulsa, nephews: Mark Campbell and wife Ashley of Muskogee, Derek Campbell of Harrah, Robert Campbell and wife Malinda of Big Cabin and Albert Campbell and wife Donna of Big Cabin. There are also many great nieces and nephews, a step-granddaughter Sheila Hill, plus special family friends Gerald Bowden and Bill Propp. She was preceded in death by her parents Everett Campbell and first mother Ruth Ann (Surine) Campbell. Second mother Catherine (Surine) Campbell. Two sons Mike McGaugh and Butch McGaugh, a grandson Jason Dale (Rocky) McGaugh and the father of her sons Fay McGaugh. Fern is missed but family rejoices that on January 27 she was reunited with many loved ones who had preceded her. What a glad reunion day!! There was also the joy of being with Jesus who paid the price that she might spend eternity with Him. Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Campbell, Allen Willis, Rocky McGaugh, Kyle Collins, Mike (Butch) McGaugh A visitation for family and fiends will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 2, 2018 at Big Cabin Cemetery, with Tim Potts officiating.
