Florence Haynes

Florence Evelyn Haynes 94, of Nowata passed away at 1:12 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 in Owasso, Oklahoma. Florence was born on September 9, 1914 in Talala, Oklahoma to James Edward and Nancy Katherine (Haynes) Belden. She married Archie Tom Haynes on September 17, 1933; together they raised their fifteen children. Florence was a member of the Church of God in Nowata. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and in her younger days loved to sing and dance. One of Florence's many talents included shopping; she could shop all day and night and especially enjoyed browsing garage sales. Florence was very family oriented, she would get the family together at least once a month to celebrate a birthday; with her large family there was bond to be at least one birthday every month. Her top priority was her children, she doted on her grandchildren, loved her great grandchildren, adored her great great grandchildren, enjoyed her great great great grandchildren, and amired her great great great great grandchildren. Florence is survived 10 children Archie C. Haynes and his companion Donna, James W. Haynes and his wife Mary, Geraldine "Gerri" Seratte, Shirley Tucker and her husband Bob, Elsie Smith, Peggy Fryman and her husband Lee, Nancy Rabbitt and her husband Sam, Bonnie Hice and her husband Danny, Betty Devore and her husband Ronnie, and Sharon Lang, _ grandchildren, _ great grandchildren, _ great great grandchildren, _ great great great grandchildren, and _ great great great great grandchildren, and numerous other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Nancy Belden, her husband Archie Tom Haynes, 5 children Wayne Haynes, Donnie Haynes, Bobby Haynes, Ronnie Haynes, and Darlene Rush, 4 son-in-laws Dewayne Smith, Andy Rabbitt Sr., Johnny Lang, and Bill Seratte, 3 brothers Roy Belden, Chester Belden, and Elmer Belden, 3 sisters Rosie Cockrum, Myrtle Belden, and Hattie Belden, 7 grandchildren Christina Ilene Rabbitt, Andy Rabbitt Jr., Tony Williams, Sharon Williams, Brandon Rabbitt, John Lang, and Crystal Rose. Funeral services for Mrs. Haynes are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 02, 2009 in the Benjamin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Walt Asher officiating. Visitation will be held at the Benjamin Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 4pm until 9pm and Wednesday April 1, 2009 from 8am until 9pm.
