Florence “Ellen” Newman 64, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 9, 2019. Ellen was born in Bartlesville, OK on September 8, 1954 to Sam and Florence Ellen (Barnhart) McGonigal. She grew up in Nowata, Ok and attended Nowata Public School system where she received her education. In 1975 she married Robert Newman and spent many year together before departing. She lived in Nowata, Ok until she moved to Florida in 2004 where she lived for five year before moving back to Tulsa in 2009. She was a former member of the 1st Baptist Church. Ellen could do anything that she set her mind to, she enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bingo. She always made sure her family was well taken care of and loved being with her family. Ellen will be missed by all who knew her.

Ellen is survived by her former husband Robert Newman; two children: Michelle Victory and husband Jeff of Alluwe, Ok, Jason Newman of Bixby, Ok; four siblings: Tommy Guffey and wife Marilyn of Bartlesville, OK, John Santmyer and wife Debbie of Catoosa, OK, Jim Santmyer and Morine of Tulsa, OK, Mary Haynes and husband James od Nowata, OK; four grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.

Ellen is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Florence Ellen (Barnhart) McGonigal; two siblings a brother Billy Guffey and Janet McGonigal
