Frances Johnson

Frances Gale Johnson, age 77 and resident of Copan, passed away at 2:21 a.m., October 16, 2014, in The Journey Home, Bartlesville. Frances was born April 5, 1937 in Copan, Oklahoma, the 5th of 6 children. She was the daughter of Rev. Orville Jack and Leota Orletta (Pendleton) Dobbs. She grew up in Copan where she received her formal education and graduated with the Class of 1955. Frances Gale Dobbs and George Edward Johnson married and made their home in the Copan area where they raised their four children. Frances' career took her from employment with Cities Service, the Arnold Moore Funeral Service, through her retirement from Phillips 66. Frances was a member of the Copan First Baptist Church where she served as organist. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; sisters-Nancy Ellen Lewis and Dickie Rae Horn; and brother-Donald Dean Dobbs. She is survived by three sons-Joe Johnson and Jill of Bartlesville, Mark Johnson and Sally of Dewey, Jerry Johnson of Copan; one daughter-Wendy Wickham and Donnie of Copan; 9 grandchildren-Jason Johnson, Julie Johnson, Jeremy Wickham, Terrance Wickham, Chad Johnson, Robyn Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Shannon Mansker and David; seven great-grandchildren-Tyler, Trevor, Karson, Kamden, Emma, Kylie, Aubrey; one sister-Betty Copeland and Jack of Dewey; two brothers-Ron Dobbs and Harriett of Tulsa, and Joe Lewis of Claremore; three sister-in-laws-Mrs. Duane (Lois) Ward of Wichita Falls, TX, Mrs. J.R. "Sam" (Dolores) Johnson of Copan, Mrs. Carl (Deloras) Johnson of Copan; two brothers-in-law- Robert "Bob" Horn of Bartlesville, Richard "Shorty" Johnson and Sandy of Mesquite, NV; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
