Gary Oakley Sr.

Gary Lee Oakley, Sr., age 62 of Vinita, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013. Gary was born on May 21, 1951 to Ralph and Virginia Oakley. He worked numerous years as a social worker for the Oklahoma Forensic Center. After his retirement he helped take care of his grandchildren, they were his life. Survivors include his wife Karrie Oakley, children: Sandy Oakley of Bluejacket and Gary Oakley Jr. of Cleveland, OK, Sequoyah Flechs of Pryor, Nicole Hughes of Stillwater, Christi Chase of Kenwood, and John Flechs of Georgia, one brother Dennis Oakley of Vinita, and 17 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Sixkiller Cemetery in Afton with Pastor Skip McClain officiating.
