George G. Ebbs 89 passed away August 8, 2019 at the Maple Wood Care Center in Tulsa, OK. He was born January 14, 1930 to Charley Albert and Viola Elizabeth (Brown) Ebbs in South Coffeyville, OK. He was one of nine children.

George attended Lenapah High, in the Lenapah Public School system. He was employed as a maître d with numerous hotels within the state of Kansas. George retired from Gen Cast, where he worked as a cab drive for over twenty-five years. His spiritual grounding and growth was obtained while attending Lil Flock Baptist Church and through the nurturing and guidance from his mother. George had a prophetic calling on his life which was known by many since his birth. He was a very social person who enjoyed carrying on a conversation and was the type of person who never met a stranger. In his spare time, he enjoyed going down to the lake an dropping a hook in the water, whether he caught a fish or not he just soaked up the peace and quiet and loved every minute of it. George will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

George is proceeded in death by his parents, Charley Albert and Viola Elizabeth (Brown) Ebbs; brothers, Darnell Ebbs, Clifton Ebbs, and Silas Young; sister, Ruth Newsome.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Birdie Spiller; sisters, Mary Vann of Tulsa, OK, Janie Robinson of Los Angeles, CA, and Vienna Rose of Arlington, TX; grandson, Kevin Williams; one great grandchild, and host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel, located in Nowata, OK. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 15, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM also in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
