Geraldine Durham-McArdle, a cherished matriarch of her family, passed away on August 28, 2024 at the age of 89 in Grove, Oklahoma. Geri was born on October 25, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Ernest and Flora (Eoff) Dunn. Geraldine was known best as being "people person" who engaged with everyone she met.
For over two decades, Geraldine ran the 3-D Donut Shop, a venture that not only served delicious treats but also became a gathering place for many in the community. Her passion for baking was evident in the care she put into her work, delighting countless customers with her flavorful creations and thoughtful service.
Geraldine's legacy extends beyond her career and into the love she nurtured within her family. She is lovingly remembered by her grandson Clifton Prigmore and her great grandchildren—Angel, Caitlin, Ashley, Chris, and Laura. Additionally, she is survived by her great-great granddaughter Marin and great-great grandson Quentin Richmond, all of whom carry forward the warmth and love she so freely gave.
Geraldine is now reunited with her predeceased family members, including her husband, Billy Joe Durham; her daughter, Brenda Frickenschmidt; and her parents, Ernest and Flora Dunn, who she held dear throughout her life.
A graveside service to honor her memory will be held on August 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Covington Community Cemetery in Covington, Oklahoma. Geraldine Durham-McArdle leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and community that will be remembered by all who knew her.
