Geraldine Woods

Geraldine Margaret Woods, 81, died May 9, 2010 in Jane Phillips Medical Center. Geraldine was born on June 11, 1928 in Nowata, Ok the daughter of Sherman Earl and Linnie (Young) Richards. She was raised and educated in the Diamond Point area. Geraldine was united in marriage with Wayne Woods in September of 1949 in Nowata. The couple separated in 1962 and Wayne preceded her in death in 2007. Geraldine was a waitress for many years at the Bliss restaurant in Nowata. She enjoyed Two-Stepping and loved spending time with her grandchildren when they were young. Geraldine is survived by her three children, Joyce Ann Mabry of Bartlesville, Bob Woods of Nowata and Michael Woods of Bartlesville, six grandchildren, Jacqueline Moore, Michael Woods, Mathew Woods, Joshua Woods, James Woods and Jerad Woods, Ten Great-Grandchildren, one brother Dennis Richards of Hominy, Ok, two sisters Barbara Hicks and her husband Buryl of Bartlesville and Ruby Barr of Pawhuska and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents, one son Arthur Earl Woods, Two Brothers and Two Sisters. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Woods will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetry. Services are under the direction of the Benjamin Funeral Home.
