Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261. Gladys Aleta Marker, age 79, passed away on January 18, 2016, at Grandwood Assisted Living Center in Grove, Okahoma. Gladys was born on April 5, 1936 in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of Martin and Aleta Labout. Gladys graduated from West High School in Denver, Colorado in 1954. Gladys worked in retail sales for J.C. Penney. She enjoyed going for walks, hiking, and gardening. She loved her dogs: Precious, Smoker and Sasha. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom Marker, and one sister Donna Graham. She is survived by her son, Brian Jacobs, and his wife Terry, of Overland Park, Kansas, her daughters, Carla Plunkett, and husband Tom, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Cindy Lindesmith, and husband Carl, of Afton, Oklahoma, one brother, Dennis Labout, and wife Mary, living in Arizona. Gladys was blessed with nine grandchildren; Jeremy Shambles, Alicia Wilson, Erica Allington, Ross Plunket, Andrea Reisman, Jennifer Mitch, Jessica Alaga, Jared Jacobs and Joseph Jacobs; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild with one on the way. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8PM, Thursday, January 21, 2016. Services will be held at 10:30AM Friday January 22, 2016 both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Gladys will be laid to rest at 3:00PM at Bartlesville Memorial Cemetery, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
