Grace Smith

Grace Hodges Smith passed away, Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Evergreen Care Center in Owasso, Oklahoma. She was born on July 4, 1919 in Sidney, Iowa to James B. and Lula (Martin) Hodges. She was married to Carl F. Smith on August 21, 1937 in Grove, Oklahoma. Grace was a beautician for fifty five years, most of which she was in Jay, Oklahoma. She owned and operated Kut and Kurl Beauty Shop. Grace loved to sew and crochet, and was a member of the Eastern Star for many years, she also enjoyed baking, especially pies, and going to auctions. Her favorite past time was going to get a cup of coffee at Jerry's Drive In. Grace is survived by her daughter, Jimmie and husband Chief Bacon of Owasso, Oklahoma, two grandsons, Randy of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Jason and wife Marika of Erie, Colorado, and four great grandchildren, Josh and Cole Bacon of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Ben and Anna Grace Bacon of Erie, Colorado. Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Carl, parents J.B. and Lula Hodges, and four sisters and four brothers. A visitation for Grace will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Grace will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday February 17, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma.
