Hallie Branstetter

Hallie Mavontiene Branstetter, 90 year old Vinita resident, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2017. She was born on January 15, 1927 in Hallett, Oklahoma to Lester Eugene and Hallie Marie (Newman) McMillan. Hallie attended school at Couch and Welch. She married Kenneth Jackson Branstetter on August 11, 1945 in Oswego, Kansas, they had just celebrated 72 years of marriage. Hallie loved going to church and was a member of the Foursquare Church. She liked to work in her yard, taking care of her flowers and watching the birds. Hallie also loved to go camping, fishing and traveling. Preceding her in death; her parents, a son, Leroy Branstetter, a sister, Rosemary Kelso, a sister in-law, Virginia McMillan and twin grandsons. The family includes: her husband Kenneth of the home; her children, Ann Osburn and husband Glenn, Kenneth Kay Branstetter and wife Jeanie, Sue Branstetter and husband Scott Rudd, Becky Johnston and husband Pete Root, all of Vinita. Grandchildren, Allen Osburn, Shannon Cassity, Sarah Chamberlain, Chris Branstetter, Cache Branstetter, Amanda Cantu, Libby Best, Shane Woodworth, Poppy Branstetter, Gretchen Branstetter, Jeff Johnston, Jacob Johnston, Zachary Johnston; sixteen great-grandchildren and one-great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastors John Bechtold and John Bechtold, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Carselowey Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
