Harold Moye

Harold "Sam" Aaron Moye, 64, died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Betty Ann Nursing Center in Grove. He was born on February 15, 1943 in Longmont, Colorado to David Aaron and Mattie Mae (Currey) Moye. Sam served twenty-two years in the United States Navy and retired as Senior Chief Petty Officer. He had worked at Simmons Foods in Jay and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Moye is preceded in death by his parents David and Mattie Moye and one brother Lawrence Moye. Survivors include his wife YLana Moye of the home, his children Johnny R. Moye of El Paso, TX, Joyce Sewell and her husband Lynn of Liberal, KS, Rebecca Moye of Tishamingo, Samuel Aaron Moye of Portland, OR, Juliana Coppedge and her husband Mike of Afton, Samantha Martins and her husband Brad of Vinita. Mr. Moye is survived by seven grandchildren; Jenson Moye, Justin Noll, Shaun Noll, Katelan Moye, Preston Coppedge, Nicholas Martins, Anderson Martins and Kennedy Martins, Cameron Hawk, Nevada Hawk, along with one sister Donna Sue Davidson of Ashland, KS. Funeral Services for Sam will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Simmons Plant in Jay with Wil Gardner officiating. Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma. Visitation will be on Friday, September 21, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. The family has asked that memorial Contributions may be made to the Grove Humane Society.
