Hattie Osborn

Hattie Evelyn Smithey Osborn, age 91 of Big Cabin, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012. Hattie was born in Okay, Oklahoma on April 26, 1920 the daughter of Robert and Laura (Brentlinger) Boydston. Hattie loved many things in life. She loved her family, gardening, quilting, painting, and collecting antiques. The strong matriarch of her family, Hattie leaned on God's grace and relied on his strength throughout her life. With her unconditional love she taught her family how to live. She was a blessing to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her loving daughters: Deloris Egnor and husband Cecil of Big Cabin, Barbara Cruse and husband John of Big Cabin, Sharon Coppedge and husband Gary of Vinita, and Darlene Smith and husband Joe of Big Cabin, sister Joyce Martindale and husband John of Claremore, nine grandchildren: Jeff Egnor and wife Debbie of Broken Arrow, Lisa Gladieux of Big Cabin, Julie Dean and husband Jeff of Big Cabin, Shelly Chisum and husband Craig of Big Cabin, Pam Woods and husband Randy of Bentonville, AR, Lorie Funkhouser and husband Shane of Hobart, OK, Kimberly Wynn and husband Sam Jr. of Vinita, Clint Smith and wife Rachel of Big Cabin, and Shannon Greenwood and husband Trapper of Big Cabin, as well as 24 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and father of her children Joseph A. Smithey, second husband Hubert Osborn, son Gerald Smithey, brothers Bill Boydston and Charles Boydston, and sisters Jean Boydston and Josephine Murphy. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Big Cabin Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Jackson, Pastor Shane Funkhouser, and Steve Murphy officiating.
