Hazel Corrigan

Hazel Jenny Corrigan, Grove resident, age 97 years, died Saturday morning January 5, 2013. Hazel was born September 3, 1915 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan Canada to her parents, Robert and Josie (Sears) MacIntosh. She married the love of her life, Charles Corrigan in 1939 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They moved through Charles' pro hockey career. Upon moving to California, Hazel worked as an accountant in the music industry. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, painting, working jig saw and crossword puzzles, and dancing. She traveled the United States, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, and the Panama Canal. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Corrigan; 4 sisters, and a grandson, Kenny Dodson, Jr. She leaves many loving memories with her family, daughter Carole Dodson and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Patrick Dodson and wife Lisa, KristyLee Martin and husband Jim; great-grandchildren, Samantha Dodson, Joshua Martin, Ryan Dodson, Tyler Dodson, Taylor Dodson; great-great grandson, Zachary Dodson. Memorial Services celebrating Hazel's life will be 1:30 PM Thursday January 10, 2013 at Delaware Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Bishop officiating.
