Houston Boyd Jackman, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at Grandwood Assisted Living Center in Grove, Oklahoma. He was born on January 20, 1935, in Wapanucka, Oklahoma, and lived a life characterized by hard work, integrity, and a deep affection for his family.
Known for his honest demeanor and exceptional work ethic, Houston made a lasting impact in his career, earning the respect of his colleagues and peers in the pipeline industry. He was a man who cherished his family, delighting in spoiling his nieces and nephews.
Houston was an avid gardener, often sharing his produce with others, and enjoyed going fishing. His sharp memory and love for life allowed him to create treasured moments with those he cared about. He was the neighborhood watchman and enjoyed his snacks and Coors beer.
Houston will be dearly missed by his siblings, Billie Parker, Lovonia Short, Diane Perrymore, Ronald Jackman, and Johnnie Knight, along with an abundance of nieces and nephews who will forever treasure his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lena Jackman, and five brothers and sisters: Jackie Jackman, Lena Watson, Burl Jackman, Carolyn Couch, and Joyce Adams.
Houston will be laid to rest Memorial Day weekend at Enterprise Cemetery in Wapanucka, Oklahoma.
