Howard Wesley Pattison, 91, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center. He was born on August 5th, 1924 in Hominy, OK to Clarence and Effie (Streetman) Pattison. He attended Barnsdall schools. Howard joined and served in the United States Air Force. On December 15, 1943 he married the love of his life, Lena B. Lane, in Tulsa. Howard worked in the oil fields gauging pipelines. He moved to the Nowata area over thirty years ago and retired a few years later. Howard enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, traveling, and gardening. They traveled to many areas of the country and as many in this area enjoyed visiting Branson, Missouri. He was a very hard working man that loved and had a special place in his heart for his wife, children, grandchildren, and family. He will be missed by many who knew him. Howard is survived by two children, Patsy Forbes and husband Ronnie of Skiatook, OK and Howard Michael Pattison and wife Cathy of Hominy, OK; three siblings, Eddie Pattison of Childers, Patsy McKay of Bartlesville, Becky Hunter of Nowata; four grandchildren, Michael Shawn Pattison, Robert Wesley Pattison, Stacy Page, Gail Bowman; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; special family, Lisa and Rick Miller; special friends, Jack and Ester Morris; many other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Effie Pattison; his wife, Lena Pattison; and two brothers, Jim Pattison and Tommy Pattison.
