Howard Eugene Turrel, age 92, of Eucha, Oklahoma went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28, 2022.
Howard was born to William Howard and Millicent (Gleasure) Turrel on March 2, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan. He was married to his wife Susan Turrel, of the home, for an amazing 52 years. Howard was blessed to live and enjoy a very full and fruitful life in his 92 years. He was multi-skilled in his work history and business ventures; a visionary and inventor with a background in agriculture, excavation, construction and manufacturing, as well as being an instrument rated pilot, truck driver, heavy equipment operator and mechanic. Howard loved airplanes, boats, and motorcycles, and at the at age 21, he was the youngest Harley Davison dealer at the time. He was a devout Christian and was a very generous and giving person. He loved helping others and giving to charitable causes. Howard loved the mountains, but even more he loved living at the lake.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents William Howard and Millicent Turrel, brother Robert (Bob) Turrel, daughter Kittie Lynn Turrel, daughter in law, Kim Turrel, son in law Frank Sitarski, son in law Chuck King, grandson Preston Turrel, grandson Mikey Turrel and granddaughter Tiffany Turrel.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Turrel, and his children, Danny and spouse Janet Turrel of Grove, Greg Turrel of Texas, Myra King of Michigan, Mark Turrel of Tulsa, Alicia “Tiger” and spouse Sam Tracy of Grove, and brother David Turrel of Michigan; as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family, and many loving friends.
He loved his family immensely and treasured spending time with them; they are his legacy. He in turn, was loved beyond measure and will be missed.
