Grove, OK - Idora Sue Cave, 80, died Monday, November 13, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sue was born December 26, 1925 at Yale, Oklahoma, to Ray Burden and Jewel (Gentry) Burden. Mr. Burden was an oil pumper and the family followed his work. Sue spent much of her early years in Jennings, Oklahoma and graduated high school, there. After her father retired, the family moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma. There she met and later married Edward Cave on February 1, 1958. Sue worked for the Bartlett Collins glass plant in Sapulpa. She and Ed later owned a Tastee-Freez in Skiatook, Oklahoma from 1956 to 1967. The Caves moved back to Sapulpa for 18 years before coming to Grove in 1981. Sue was a member of the Grove First Christian Church and had been a member of the Cherry Reds at Integris Grove General Hospital. She was a former member of the Christian Women's Fellowship at Linden Street Christian Church of Sapulpa. Sue loved dancing and music, especially by the Gaithers. She did needlework and enjoyed her grandchildren and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ed, of the home; two daughters, Nancy Sue Phillips of Grove and Lisa Holloway & her husband, Jack of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Pat Burden of Lindsay, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Danny Phillips of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Connie Phillips of Grove and Grace, Samantha and Claire Holloway, all of Grove and two great-grandsons, Shelby and Trevor Phillips of Sapulpa. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Raymond Burden. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Grove First Christian Church with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating. Committal service will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa, Oklahoma under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Friends who wish may donate to the Grove First Christian Church building fund.
