Irma Jean Pry, affectionately known as Jeanie, passed away on January 16, 2024, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Jeanie was born on October 13, 1934, in Dewey, Oklahoma, she was one of six children born to Floyd Erwin and Minnie Delight (Patterson) Smith.
Throughout her life, Jeanie found joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a strong faith and dedicated herself to church activities. In addition to her devotion to church life, she also enjoyed solving puzzles and playing games, she enjoyed camping adventures with her loved ones, traveling and attending Bluegrass festivals with her late husband Ralph Pierce Pry.
During the time she lived at Honey Creek Baptist Village, she was actively involved in leading an exercise program, bringing joy to the residents through physical activity.
Jeanie will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends. She leaves behind her children David Gray, Donna Conley, Darrel Gray (Tammy), Dianna McIntyre, and Debra York. Her sister Margie Farrar will also continue to cherish the memories they created together. Jeanie's legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Nick Gray (Christy), Kelly Hise (Ray), Bart Gray (Angie), Lisa Spencer (Ron), Stephen Conley (Carol), Stephanie Howard (Jordan), Anthony Conley, Shelly Slavin (Thomas), Carl Fourier (Jennifer), Jedidiah Rahi (Kate), Daniel York, Samuel York (Brittany), as well as her twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four siblings, Violet Winters, Don Smith, Gwendolyn Sue Guess, and Dennis Smith.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM Monday January 29, 2024, with funeral services starting at 2 PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel located at 711 S. Main, Grove, Oklahoma. Jeanie will be laid to rest in McLaughlin Cemetery.
