Jack Beauchamp

Jack D. Beauchamp, 84 year old Vinita resident died, Thursday August 18, 2011 at his home. He was born January 5, 1927 in Miami, to Arthur and Ruby (Baker) Beauchamp. Jack was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy from 1944 to 1948. He worked for the University of Tulsa for many years, before opening Jack's Electric in 1981 in Vinita. Jack served as a mentor to many local electricians in the Vinita area. Jack was married to Ruby (Miller) on September 25, 1981 at the Carter Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian and a member of the Carter Baptist Church, Gideon's, Dale Peace Post #40 American Legion in Vinita, and Masonic Lodge #425 in Tulsa. Jack enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading and watching movies. The family includes: his wife Ruby of the home, his son, Gregory Thomas Beauchamp and wife Jackie of Broken Arrow; a grandson, Jason Dwight Beauchamp and wife Kristin of Moore; and his great-grandchild, Carter Thomas Beauchamp. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Serving as casket bearers will be; Jeff Collins, Lonnie Loges, Shannon Sumner, Mike Giles, Marty Babcock, and Mike Ciccone. The funeral will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel in Vinita with Pastor Terry Wise officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. Friends may give to the Gideon's. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
