Jackie Dewayne Crossley, 82 of Grove, passed away September 23, 2021. Jackie was born in Jay on March 28, 1939, to Claude and Hazel (Maple) Crossley. In November of 1957 he was united in marriage to, Carole Hays. Jackie was a Jack of all trades. Later in life, he took Vo-Tech courses and learned upholstery. He worked as a mechanic, a pipe liner, and ran a wrecker service. He loved to build and restore old vehicles with his grandsons and great grandsons. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Jackie was not one to hold back and you always knew where you stood with him.
Survivors include his wife Carole, son Jackie Crossley of Fairland, daughter Jeri Modesto (Steven) of Grove, grandchildren: Jennifer Dooling (Don), Christopher Hadley (Hayley), Michael Murphy (Jordan), Heather Hull (Michael), Grant Crossley (Nissa), and Grace Lawhorn (Cory), 12 great grandchildren, brothers: Edward and Jerry Crossley, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Dee Ann Spradling, sisters Imogene Bauer and Linda Keller, and brother Michael Crossley.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 AM, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove.
