James Finnell

James Clay Finnell, age 62, of Vinita, died Friday, November 27, 2009. Clay was born in Vinita on October 30, 1947, the son of Boyd G. and Dorothy (Hughes) Finnell. He served in the United States Army in Germany and in Vietnam. He enjoyed training thoroughbred horses and was a member of the HBPA. He also enjoyed shopping flea markets and fishing. He attended Cowboy Junction Church. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Hughes Finnell of Vinita, sons Boyd Sherman Finnell of Claremore, and Gulley Henderson Finnell of Vinita, sister Colleen Finnell of Salina, OK, two granddaughters Savannah Elizabeth Finnell and Falisyti Lynn Finnell. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rebbecca Elizabeth Finnell (2001), and his father, Boyd G. Finnell (1983). Visitation will be Sunday, November 29, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2009 at Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wade Markham officiating.
