James Valentine

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK 918-253-3222. James "Jim" Victor Valentine, 68 year old resident of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on February 23, 2017. Jim was born on October 22, 1948 in Jamestown, New York. He was the son of Vincent V. and Shirley (Heath) Valentine. Jim proudly served in the United States Army from 1968-1971. He was united in marriage to Jean Ellis on July 12, 1991 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jim was a small business owner that specialized in computer programming. Jim was preceded in death by his father Vincent Valentine, his maternal grandparents Henry and Ethel Heath, his paternal grandparents Emmons and Dorothy Valentine. He is survived by his wife Jean Valentine of the home, his mother Shirley Valentine of Jenks, OK, his five children; Vincent Valentine of Dallas, TX, Victoria Douglas and her husband Shane of Chelsea, OK, Christina Hampton and her husband Cliff of Chelsea, OK, Lindsey Reddick and her husband Geoffrey of Nixa, MO and Nicholas Johnson and his wife Stacy of Tulsa, OK. Jim was blessed with six grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma with Scott Worley officiating. Memorial donations can be made in Jim's name to either Carter Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis.
