Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, Oklahoma 918-256-5555 James Franklin "Jimmy" Williams, 80 year old well known Bluejacket resident, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw. He was born on November 9, 1935 in the Miles District of Craig County to Joe F. and Evelyn (Jackman) Williams. James was a 1953 graduate of Centralia High School. He married Janetta Ruth Barnett on August 22, 1953 in Miami, Oklahoma. James worked for 34 years for B. F. Goodrich in Miami & Tuscaloosa, Alabama before retiring from there. He was a long time member and Deacon for 50 years at the Bluejacket Baptist Church. He served as the sexton of the Bluejacket Cemetery for many years. James loved to work, he especially liked to trim trees for his neighbors and friends. He really enjoyed riding his horse daily, fishing and quail hunting. Preceding him in death were his parents, an infant son, James Brian Williams, sisters, Irene Miller and Louise Roberts and a brother Joe "JW" Williams. The family includes: his wife Janetta of the home; his children, Jeff Williams and wife Liz of Vinita, Jamie Williams and wife Donya of Bluejacket, Jon Williams of Vinita, Jana Chenoweth and husband Mike of Welch, Joy Doggett and husband Will of Vinita; two sisters, Juanita Hawley and husband Don of Round Rock, TX, Ellen Akard and husband Charley of Lawton, a brother Gene Williams and wife Hazel of Rapid City, SD; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may view from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM at the Bluejacket Baptist Church on Saturday, before the service. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Bluejacket Baptist Church, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at the Bluejacket Cemetery.
