Jennie Ford

March 6, 1935 — November 20, 2014

Jennie Lee Keith was born on March 6, 1935 at Cooty's Bluff, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James Alonzo Keith and Effie (Stover) Keith. She attended high school in Vinita, Oklahoma and Alluwe, Oklahoma where she graduated with the Alluwe Senior Class of 1953 as Valedictorian of the class. In 1966, Jennie married Jay Willis Ford in Nowata, Oklahoma. The couple made their first home in Chelsea, Oklahoma. In 1973, they moved to the Bartlesville area where she has lived since that time. Mr. Ford preceded her in death in 2013. Jennie attended Memorial Christian Church in Bartlesville where she was involved with the church youth. She had been a Campfire Girl Director; and a founding member of the Coker Hills Muzzleloader Club. She quilted, painted, loved to travel, but most importantly, she helped raise the grandkids. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jay; siblings, Jack Pope, Charles Keith, Jean Buzzard and Betty Ingram. She is survived by her children, Julia Ford-Benavides and her husband, Marshall, of Grand Prairie, Texas, John Ford and his wife, Robyn, of Peru, Kansas and Jeannie (Ford) Eden of Dewey, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Josh Benavides, Daniel Benavides, Justyne Eden and Jae Eden; two sisters, Peggy Gawley of Jay, Oklahoma and Carol Kinikin of Indianapolis, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Memorial Christian Church, 1201 N.W. Virginia Ave., Bartlesville, OK 74003.
