Jerry Jones

Jerry Lee Jones, 69 year old Langley area resident, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Jerry was born in Vinita, OK on October 4, 1940, the son of Robert and Lola (Chouteau) Jones. He was united in marriage to Hope Knowles on August 9, 1996. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, raising cattle, and working around the yard. He attended the Langley Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Hope of the home, daughters Patty Jones, Aronda Bright, and Alice May, siblings include Mary Strait and husband Darell of Tulsa, Jack Elsey and wife Carolyn of Miami, two grandchildren Steven and Seth, as well as numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Evalyn (Dark) Jones, and an infant brother. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Langley with Pastor Roy Craig officiating. Interment will follow at the Carselowey Cemetery.
