Jesse Roberts

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove-918-786-2261-- Jesse L. Roberts, 81 year old, Jay Oklahoma resident passed away Tuesday February 25, 2014 following an extended illness. Jesse was born on October 20, 1932 in Wyandotte, Oklahoma to Burke and Della (Caudell) Roberts. He attended Union Grade School and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1950. Jesse married Laveta (Hollis) on June 13, 1951. Jesse was the assistant manager for the Co-op in Grove, Oklahoma in the Late 1960's and early 1970's. Then he moved to manage Co-ops in Nucla, Colorado and Alamosa, Colorado, retiring back to Oklahoma in 1994. Jesse was an avid hunter and fisher, who enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family, including grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved attending family reunions and fish fry's. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Laveta, four sisters and two brothers. Jesse is survived by, three sons, Rick Roberts of Jay, Oklahoma, Russel Roberts of Douglas, Wyoming, and Ronald Roberts of Las Vegas, Nevada, a daughter, Rhonda Anderson of Fairfield, California, eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services for Jesse will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday March 3, 2014 at the Council House Church in Grove, Oklahoma, Brother Darwin King will officiate. Interment will follow at Council House Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday March 2, 2014 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
