Jessie Ruth Nunnallee passed away August 18, 2015 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville at the age of 99. She was born August 15, 1916 in Childers, OK to M.M. Stewart, Sr. and Ola Childers Stewart. She attended Lenapah Public Schools and graduated in 1934. Jessie married John Houston Nunnallee, Jr. on August 20, 1936 in Delaware, OK. To this union were born five children: Loretta, Butch, Marcella, Bob, and Johnny Mac. They were married 65 years before John preceded her in death in 2002. John and Jessie moved two miles west of Nowata in 1942, built a house, and established a farm. Jessie lived in this house until her passing. While raising their children, Jessie was a homemaker and a member of a home demonstration club. She was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and embroidery. Jessie was a member of the First United Methodist Church and it's quilting guild. Each of her children and grandchildren received one of her handmade quilts. Jessie worked for her sister and brother-in-law at Nunnallee's Grocery. Jessie is survived by daughter Marcella and Roscoe Miller of Nowata, son Butch and Cheryl Nunnallee of Burbank, son Bob and Marilee Nunnallee of Nowata, and son Johnny Mac Nunnallee of the home. Also, grandchildren Sherrie Bellamy and husband Allen, Dee Waltman and wife Brenda, Angelia Franke and husband Steve, Lance Nunnallee, Todd Nunnallee and Jason Nunnallee. She is survived by great grandchildren Savannah and Chris Bellamy, Sarah Brown, Shay and Drake McGovern, Jake Waltman, Justin, Tyler, and Kelsey Waltman, John and Meredith Franke, and Conner Nunnallee. Jessie also has two great-great-granddaughters Kayleigh and Isabella Waltman and two great-great-grandsons, Maverick McGovern and Conner Wade Nunnallee. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Loretta Wells and grandson Nathan John Waltman. Also, by seven brothers and sisters preceded her in death: brothers Leo, Turner, and Mac Stewart, Jr. and sisters Verna Looper, Leola Yelton, Vera Schopmeyer, Betty Nunnallee, an infant sister Marcella Stewart.
