Jimmie Bales

Jimmie Earl Bales was born on September 2, 1934, in Oaks, Oklahoma to C.M. Bales and Bessie Stover.  He departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 87.
Jimmie loved spending time with his family, friends, and church family. He loved going to church and singing for the Lord.  He enjoyed listening to gospel music, family gatherings, fishing every chance he got and watching football, especially OU football.  He worked in the steel industries for many years and was a grounds keeper for the Bears Den in Grove, OK for thirteen years until his retirement. Jimmie had a big heart of gold, was always willing to help anyone.  He never met anyone he wouldn’t talk to, and he was loved by all.
Jimmie is survived by his sons Mike, Darrell, and daughter Cheryl Bales-Gonzales, and her husband Keith. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Caitlin, and her husband Shai Jones, David, Josh, and Michael Lee, Shawna and her husband Raymond, Brittany Howell and her husband William, Mark Smith and his wife Heidi, Shantelle Rivas and her husband Rey, Brinley, Haylen, Caylx, Reagan, Xavier, Cheyanne, Skyla, Angel, Lilly, Mason, Elijah, Michael Lee, Ecohawk, Raylon, Addison, Anthony, Anna-Marie, Jace, Savanna. Jimmie is also survived by an honorary son Shawn Bales and his wife Christina, as well as their children Ayden, Cheyanne, Aaron, Cierra.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife Mozella Bales both his parents, Brothers Vernon Bales, JD Bales Wilber June Blackfox, great-grandchild Michael David Bales.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5PM to 7PM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma.  Services are scheduled for 2 PM  on Wednesday, January 26, 2022  at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma.  Jimmie will be laid to rest in Long Prairie Cemetery in Kansas, Oklahoma. Arrangements under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
