It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jimmie Joe Stroud, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world on March 6, 2025, at the age of 82, in Carthage, Missouri. Born on July 6, 1942, in Arcadia, Kansas, Jimmie lived a life characterized by devotion to his family and service to his community.

Jimmie dedicated a significant part of his career to law enforcement as a police officer and later made contributions at Boeing International. A proud veteran of the Navy, he exhibited unwavering commitment to his country during his time in service. Those who knew him recognized his unparalleled work ethic and admired his ability as a supervisor and delegator.

Jimmie was a true jokester, always finding ways to infuse laughter and love into the lives of those around him. His passions were many, fishing, playing marbles, and canasta to mention a few. Jimmie found relaxation in the simplicity of cutting firewood and basking by the fireplace, demonstrating his commitment to enjoying life outdoors. He enjoyed just sitting in his favorite chair in the garage and swatting flies. Jimmie spent countless hours cheering on his grandkids at their sporting events. He was an avid fan of all KU sports, Jimmie was also a follower of FOX News and proud to voice his support for President Trump, and enjoyed watching war and western movies.

Jimmie is survived by his devoted wife, Donna 'Randall' Stroud; three sons, Lonnie Stroud, Johnny Stroud and his wife Denise, and Darrin James Stroud; and his three cherished grandchildren, Tyler Stroud, Tanner Stroud, and Taesi Stroud. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Kannon White, Karter White, Parker Stroud, and Tucker Stroud, along with six nieces and nephews: John Waylon Randall, Greg Conner, Denise Petty, David Randall, Tony Stroud, and Danny Stroud, and brother in law Jim Conner.

He was preceded in death by his son, Monty Stroud, and his brother Bill Stroud and sister Sherian Conner, whose memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
