Wyandotte, OK - Jimmie Joe Terry, 81, died early Sunday, April 23, 2006 at his home on Grand Lake's Paradise Point. Jimmie was born August 1, 1924 at Kansas City, Missouri to Howard Terry and Hester (Babb) Terry. He married Mary A. Butler, September 1952. Mary preceded him in death December 10, 1990. The couple had a daughter, Elicia Jena Terry, who died at the age of three months. Jimmie later married Faye Bacon on January 18, 1992. He had retired from Coalgate in Kansas City, Missouri in 1981 and at that time moved to Paradise Point. Jimmie was a wood carver until poor health prevented it. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for several years. Jimmie enjoyed helping people, especially with carpentry work. Survivors include his wife, Faye, of the home; a step-daughter, Linda Wilson & her husband, Dale of Zena, Oklahoma; step-son, Larry Bacon & his wife, Leona of Grove; four grandchildren, David Brixey & his wife, Lisa of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Jennifer Ryan & her husband, Larry of Grove, Craig Bacon & his wife, LeAnn of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Alisha Bacon of Oklahoma City; five great-grandchildren, Jordan & Tristan Ryan of Grove, Kristi, Brandi and Tommy Brixey, all of Prairie Grove; two nieces; two nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove with Chaplain John McPhail officiating.
