Joanna Wright

Joanna Marie Wright 69 year old resident of Afton, Oklahoma, passed away on September 1, 2020.

Joanna was born on October 14, 1950 in Richmond, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Edward Clinton Hobbs who was born in Arlington, Indiana and Mary Elizabeth (Ryan) Hobbs who was born in Hamilton, Ohio.  Joanna was united in marriage to Marion L. Wright in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  Marion and Joanna owned and operated a Pilot Car service for seventeen years in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Joanna was preceded in death by her parents Mary Ryan and Edward Hobbs, and two husbands, Omar Leroy Murphy and Paul Yarnell.  She is survived by her husband Marion Wright of the home, her son Michael Hobbs of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, her son Shane Yarnell of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her daughter Carrie Barbour of Wagoner, Oklahoma.  She will be missed by her siblings: Nancy Moore of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Doug Hobbs of Inola, Oklahoma, Mike Hobbs of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Guess of Morrilton, Arkansas, Christina Hernandez of Wisconsin, Sharon Garrison of  Owasso, Oklahoma, and Ruth Hawkins of Inola, Oklahoma.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma
