John David O'Hern

John David O'Hern, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, in Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 64. John was born on November 18, 1960, in San Francisco, California. He lived a life marked by hard work, love for his family, and a commitment to his career in construction.

Outside of his professional endeavors, John’s greatest treasures were his family and the time they spent together. He found joy in traveling, creating cherished memories with his family, and nurturing the land through his passion for farming.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Blenda “Cricket” O'Hern. He was a proud father to his children: Amber Johnson and her husband Russell, Lee Perkins III, Jacob O'Hern and his wife Victoria. His legacy continues through his 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

John also leaves behind his brother, Mike Kellner, and his sisters, Patricia Kellner-Smith and Merry Kellner-Bailey, who will remember him not just as a brother, but as a confidant and friend.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Dale O'Hern and Gayle Louise (Orndorff) O'Hern, and seven siblings.
