Johnnie Ethridge

Johnnie Reese Ethridge passed away on Wednesday, at 2:15 a.m., He died at the Integris Grove Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Johnnie was born on August 4, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Johnnie "Bo" and Leona May Ethridge. Johnnie is survived by one son, Johnnie Reese Jr., one brother, Harold Joe Ethridge and wife Dixie of Eucha, Oklahoma, two sisters, Dani Sue Wofford and husband John of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Julie May Williams and husband Paul of Gentry, Arkansas, four grandsons and a lot of nieces and nephews. He also had many friends. Johnnie graduated from Colcord High School in 1966. He attended college in Miami, Oklahoma and Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served during the Vietnam conflict as a Green Beret. He liked going fishing and loved talking to people. He never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by everyone. Funeral services for Johnnie will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 18, 2013 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma. Brother Gary Blackford will officiate.
