Johnny Laws

Johnny Ray Laws, pass away on Thursday morning, January 17, 2013 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 58 years of age. John was born in Pryor, OK on September 3, 1954 to Raymond Edward Laws and Barbara Sue (Hutchison) Laws. John went to school in Eucha, OK until the 7th grade. He completed Jay High school in 1972. After high school John spent one year at Okmulgee Tech. John then went to work for Rockwell International in Tulsa, OK. After working several years at Rockwell, John worked as a mechanic where he worked on heavy equipment and trucks. The last 15 years of his life, he worked on fiber optic lines and operated a crane. John enjoyed cooking, visiting with friends especially at the lake, and loved family and grand kids. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children: Suzann (Suzy) Rush and her husband Jason of Jay, OK, Chevy Gann and wife Beth of Eucha, OK, and Chelsea Laws of Tahlequah, OK; girlfriend Carrie Williams of Grove, OK; grandchildren: Koal Butler, Sage Butler, Heidi Gann, and Lane Wolf; mother Barbara Hutchison Williams; siblings: Reene Bauer and her husband Russell of Broken Arrow, Eddie Laws and his wife Roseanna of Haslet, TX, Gaila McDonald and her husband Keith of Osage Beach, MO, Treasa Brown and her husband Charlie of Eucha, OK, Rhea Johnston of Broken Arrow, Norene Laws of Salem, OR, and Robert Laws of Salt Lake City, UT; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Laws and step-father Vaughn Williams. A Graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Old Eucha Cemetery with Rev. Rufus King, presiding. The family will greet friends from 6PM to 8PM on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
