On January 4, 2019 John Lechlider Sr. a loving father, grandfather, and great- grandfather was called home. John Sr. was born on June 29, 1943 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Lawrence Corbet and Mattie Jane. After only completing 11yrs of schooling, he joined the United States Navy in 1961 and was selected for SEALs team after finishing Basic Training. He served in the Vietnam war from 64-66. Upon leaving the military, John became a Jack of all Trades while specializing in auto mechanics. John had a passion for fishing and even though he might have threw a wrench or 2, he loved working on anything with an engine. John's personality and spirit was always one of a fighter or lover depending on the circumstances, but he will never be forgotten. John Sr is survived by his caregiver of 9 years Joyce Lechlider, 3 of his 5 sisters, Linda Cronin, Betty Callison, and Shirley Wilson. 1 of his 4 brothers, Clyde "Tommy" Lechlider, his 4 Daughters Carla, Sherry, Adriene, and Kristen, his 3 sons John Jr., Dustin, and William, and his grandchildren Zachary, Ciara, Isaiah, Avery, Audrey, Shauntee, Robert jr., Trinity, Ajena, Kiarah, Kennedy, Keynon, Jaedyn, McKenzie, Julius, and Kingstyn.
