Josephine Bullock

Josephine L. Bullock, age 86, a resident of Vinita died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Rosewood Terrace. She was born February 5, 1923 in Ketchum, OK to Leroy and Amanda (Kirkendoll) Hardrick. The family moved to Vinita in 1932 where she was raised and received her education graduating from Attucks High School. Josephine was a member of the United Missionary Baptist Church and was an employee at the Cherokee Truck Stop in Big Cabin, OK retiring in 1994. She enjoyed watching wrestling on television, cooking, quilting and spending time with her family and her cherished bird "Rosie". Josephine leaves behind nine children to cherish her memories: James Lloyd Bullock of Vinita; Edward Ray Bullock (Brendia) of Memphis, TN; Cecil Leroy Bullock (Marilyn) of Tucson, AZ; Connie Louise Bowlin (Hubert) of Chelsea, OK; Eva Mae Lopes (Miguel) of Chester, VA; Delores Stephens (Rickey) of Tulsa, OK; Candas Ann Bullock of Broken Arrow, OK; Jacqueline Marie Bullock of Colonial Heights, VA; Danny Kent Bullock of Lithonia, GA; two sisters, Lowy Mae Young of Stone Mountain, GA and Louise Phillips of Vinita, OK; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Friday, January 1, 2010 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Vinita with Rev. Farris Downing officiating. Interment will be following in the Ketchum Cemetery.
