Joy Macdonald

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Joy M. MacDonald, Grove resident, died at home with family by her side Thursday evening, May 29, 2014, at the age of 81 years. She was born June 15, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to her parents, Clifford and Madeline (Loy) Sisco. After graduating high school, she married the love of her life, Gerald MacDonald on August 2, 1949 in Flint, Michigan. They celebrated 64 years of marriage together. Joy's Life Ministry of over 65 years was her love of music and sharing it with others. Joy was an outstanding pianist and organist. She played background music for a number of Christian ministry musicians. She also taught many piano students, some of whom have become outstanding musicians. When musicians would come to her area, she would often provide private piano and/or organ lessons. Before television became popular she demonstrated Hammond organs on radio. She enjoyed training singing groups of various ages from children through adult ages. These included soloists, trios, quartets, and choirs. Joy loved her family and absolutely loved everything in life! She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Madeline; and a son, Jeffrey Lee MacDonald. Joy leaves many loving memories with her family, husband Gerald; son, Gregory and wife, Valerie; daughter, Melody Padovan; sister, Dorothy Westbrook; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, April, Michelle, Amanda and Jason; five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ava, Brandon, Daxton and Sophie; as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends all across the country. Viewing will be held 2:00 PM -4:00 PM Sunday June 1, 2014 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Services celebrating Joy's Life will begin at 4:00 PM Sunday June 1, 2014 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, with Rev. Jim Paslay and Rev. Elmer Brannon officiating.
