Joyce Bishop

Joyce Margaret Bishop, 79 year old Jay resident, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019.  Joyce was born in Schenectady, NY on December 30, 1939 to John and Evelyn (Poulsen) Gallagher.  She proudly worked as a bus driver for Jay Public Schools for 35 years.  Joyce was talented in an array of subjects.  She enjoyed quilting, cake decorating, upholstery work, photography and working on computers.   If she didn’t know how to do something, she’d figure it out.

Survivors include her children: Lorey Alexander of Camdenton, MO, Clay Eaton of Jay, OK, Peggy Willis of Anderson, MO, Julie Jenkins of Grove, OK, and Kim Landrum of Decatur, AR, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one sister, Pat Grizzle of Jay, OK.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Loren Eaton and Tony Bishop, son, Ronnie Bishop, granddaughter Alesha Beaty, and siblings: Alice Green, John Gallagher, and Evelyn Schaff.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Delaware Baptist Church.  Services are under the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com or on the Worley Luginbuel Facebook page.
