Joyce Melton

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261. Joyce Yvonne Melton, 88 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma passed away on April 16, 2018. Joyce was born on June 23, 1929 in Lamar, Colorado. She was the daughter of Clifford "Tip" and Blanche (Smith) Warman. She was united in marriage to Jim Melton on December 18, 1945 in Syracuse, Kansas. Joyce has lived in the Grove area since 1979. She enjoyed crocheting, reading her Bible, singing and dancing. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons Jimmy and Chester, her daughter Connie, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her six sons; Richard, Tim, Randy, Jesse, Jerry and Ronnie, six daughters; Sharon, Annie, Terry, Sherry, Joyce and Dollie, and her only surviving sister; Amanda Batterton. Joyce was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 both at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma with Chaplain Mark Levine officiating.
