Juanita Husong

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261 Juanita June (Jackson) Husong, passed away on June 1, 2018 at the age of 84. June was born on June 18, 1933 in Turkey Ford, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of William and Sarah Jackson. June graduated from Grove High School in 1952. She immediately went to work for the Ford Motor Company as a bookkeeper. In 1953, June married the love of her life George Husong Sr and was married for 64 years before his passing in November of 2017. June was a "life long learner" by reading anything she could get her hands on. She was very knowledgeable about bird watching, stories on the fossils from around the area and genealogy on the history of the family. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a beautiful nurturing beautiful soul. June was preceded in death by her husband; George Husong Sr., and son George (Roy) Husong, Jr., her parents William and Sarah Jackson, three brothers; Richard Jackson, Sherman Jackson and Chris Jackson and one sister: Phyllis Jackson. She will be dearly missed by her two daughters: Sherry Griffith of Grove and Katrina Pate of Overland Park, Kansas. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Tra, Jeremy and Nick Griffith of Coweta, Oklahoma, Mason Pate of Overland Park, Kansas, George III, Neal and Adam Husong of Grove, Oklahoma and Sarah Hastings also of Grove, Oklahoma, eleven great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. June is also survived by her brother Larry Jackson and his wife Cathy and his sister Dorcus Brewer both of Zena, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, June 8, 2018 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Memorial donations can be made in June's name to her favorite charities: St. Jude's Hospital and / or The Boys Ranch Town.
