Judith Arlene (Compston) Rickett, 81, Claremore resident, formerly of Nowata, passed away at the Claremore Skilled Nursing and Therapy in Claremore, Thursday, June 25, 2020. Judith was born in Nowata, OK, on May 5, 1939, to Chester J. Compston and Verline Pauline (Lybarger) Compston.

She graduated from Nowata High School with the Class of 1957. Judith managed PJ’s Restaurant in Bartlesville, OK, for 10 years before going into a new direction. PJ’s Restaurant was well known for their homemade cinnamon rolls. She then worked as a credit manager for Lowes Home Improvement before retiring after 13 years. Judith was a hard worker and always kept her house in tip-top shape. Her yard was always in well trimmed and groomed. In her spare time, she spent the last couple of years in the nursing home where she enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. Judith was an animal lover and at one time had four yorkies that were her world. She loved going to and supporting all her grandchildren at their games and events. Judith was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family unconditionally and made sure that her family was well taken care of. She had a special place in her heart for each one of her family members. Judith will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding Mrs. Rickett in death are her parents Chester and Pauline Compston and one brother, Donny Compston.

Survivors include two children: Micheal Hensley of Glenpool, OK, Shari Love and husband Charles of Bartlesville, OK; one sister Linda Edinger of Claremore, OK; three grandchildren: Tiffany Hensley - Harris, Michelle Hensley, Chelsee Powers and husband Ken; four great grandchildren: Christopher Harris, Charidee Harris, Alyssa Powers, and Treya Powers; her yorkies and many other relatives as well as a host of friends and loved ones.

Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Rickett 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2020, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata, OK, with Pastor Wayne Clayton officiating. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com
