Karen Hormel

Karen Sue Hormel, passed away at her home in Grove, OK, on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the age of 55. Karen was born September 5, 1957 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of the late Elmer R. Titus and Patricia A. Titus. Karen grew up Jackson, MI where she graduated from high school in 1974. Karen moved to Northeast Oklahoma where she resided the rest of her life. She owned and operated Bare Necessities in Grove for several years. Karen married Benjamin Hormel on November 7, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. She was a life member of the Grove VFW Auxiliary. Karen enjoyed traveling, card games, and loved to help people but most of all she loved to be with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer R. Titus. She is survived by her mother, Patricia A. Titus; husband Ben of the home; two children: Angel Gunther and Steven Barrett; one grandchild Devan Gunther; two sisters; one brother Edward Titus; and a host of other relatives and friends. The Celebration of Life service was held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2PM with Mr. Gary Brock, presiding.
