Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555..... Karla Kay Watterson, 63 year old Vinita resident, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017. Karla was born in Carter, OK on July 20, 1954 to Jess and Ruby (Wilcox) Wood. She was united in marriage to Gerald Harper and prior to his death had one daughter, Lisa. On August 19, 1988 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Danny Watterson. From that union they added another daughter Angela. She worked numerous years in the nursing department at Eastern State Hospital. Karla enjoyed reading, shopping, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Danny Watterson of the home, daughters: Lisa Heiney and husband Marty of Vinita, and Angela Watterson and fiancé Steven Trail of Vinita, nephew Joshua Wood, grandchildren: Rainey Watterson, Linkin Trail, Nathan Heiney, Nicholas Heiney, Sheldon Gordon, Russell Heiney, Paige Shea, Trenton Trail, Isabella Trail, and Alexandria Trail, 5 great grandchildren, siblings: Kenneth Wood and wife Ruth of Vinita, Robert "Bob" Wood and wife Nancy of Vinita, and Debra Wood of Vinita, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Gerald Dean Harper, and siblings: Leona Hastings and Mary Lou Wood. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at the First Church of God with Pastor Eddie Wrinkle officiating. Interment will follow at Timpson Chapel Cemetery.
