BENJAMIN FUNERAL SERVICE NOWATA, OKLAHOMA 918-273-2700....
Kenneth Eugene Graham (Kenny), 73, passed in Nowata, OK. He was the son of Jewel Maxine Graham and Eugene Tullie Graham (of Nowata) who preceded him in death. His brother Philip I. Graham (Florida) pre-deceased him as well. He leaves behind a brother & sister-in-law Daryl (Lyn) Graham of New Mexico, and three children: Lisa (Rob) Bell of Florida, Andy (Meg) Graham, of South Carolina, and Terry (Misty) Graham of Florida. Papa Kenny loved and leaves behind five grandchildren, Robyn, Jack & Ellie, Paige & Lucy.
Kenny was raised along the Sun Oil pipeline where his father worked, living in New Jersey, Tennessee and Kentucky before settling in Lima, Ohio where he graduated from Lima Senior High School, and attended The Ohio State University before being drafted for the war in Vietnam. When he was honorably discharged, he found a career that kept him moving nearly as much. Kenny was retired from the Canadian National Railroad, previously Detroit Toledo and Ironton, after serving 35 years.
He returned to the family (Gibson, Burch, Graham) farm in Nowata County, OK for retirement. He found his true north and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Instead of the hustle that had busied his life before. He could watch time roll on, instead of rolling along the rails. He enjoyed farm work, tinkering and hunting.
Kenny was a Vietnam Veteran, U. S. Army 1st Battalion, 27th Artillery, 115th MM Howitzer, SP where he earned his: Expert (Rifle M-16) designation, the National Defense Service Medal, his Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He was blessed to celebrate his 50th reunion with fellow vets in 2018.
Kenny was a member of following organizations: Veteran of Foreign Wars, the Vietnam Veterans of America, the American Legion, the National Rifle Association, and the Moose.
