Kevin Tallbear

Kevin Earl TallBear, 56, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Bartlesville, OK.

Kevin Earl TallBear was born November 2, 1962 in Clinton, OK to Edward Earl McIver and Lesa Rose TallBear.  His Cheyenne name was Wolf Coming. He lived in Watonga, OK for over 20 years, before moving to Anadarko, OK. Kevin eventually moved to Bartlesville where he made his home for 15+ years before his passing.

Kevin had a thirst for knowledge. He attended Vo-Tech and studied Auto Mechanics. He also studied at Draughon’s School of Broadcasting. He used that knowledge to make a living as an auto mechanic and an electrical worker. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Kevin loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Theresa Lynn Mabry of Bartlesville, two sons; Kelly Earl TallBear of Ringling, OK and Elijah TallBear and wife Jenn TallBear of Bryan College Station, TX, a daughter Tina Marie Dukes and husband Travis Dukes of Lawton OK, two stepsons; Corey Dale Cable and Gregory Allen Cable both from Lawton, OK, a stepdaughter Shonda Ray Cable of Indiahoma, OK, three sisters; Denise Jones and husband Tommy Jones of Ardmore, OK, Dyane TallBear of Cincinnati, OH, and Lela TallBear of Sioux Falls, SD, two brothers; Anthony TallBear and wife Sandra TallBear of Georgetown, TX and Darren TallBear of Longmont, CO, 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Edward Earl McIver and Lesa Rose TallBear, his wife; Martha Ann Tsatoke, his grandmother; Christine TallBear, a brother; Gary Duane TallBear, a niece; Christina Jolene TallBear.

While his time on Earth was much too short, his memory will not be forgotten.  His Spirit of helping is his legacy.
