Lela Boyd

Lela Lou Boyd, 77, year old, Bernice, Oklahoma, resident passed away, Friday August 19, 2011, in Joplin, Missouri. Lela was born in Delaware co, on January 25, 1934 to Johnie David and Mary Luella Niman Jordan. Lela was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and sewing. She and her husband were also the former owner of Security Abstract and Title. Lela was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Franklin Jordan, and a daughter Beverly Charlene Jamison. Lela is survived by her husband Don, of the home, daughter, Donna Hayes of Cassville, Missouri, brothers, Forrest Jordan, of Dix, Nebraska and Robert Jordan of Jay, Oklahoma, three sisters, Velma Turner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Phyllis Berry of Maryland, and Brenda Burrow of Jay, Oklahoma. Lela is also survived by two grandchildren, Brandi Hinshaw of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Toni Hayes of Pierce City, Missouri, son-in-law Scott Jamison of Ft. Worth Texas, and one great grandchild Destin Charlene Hinshaw. A visitation / memorial service will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday August 23, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
